Between Art and Revolution Photo Exhibition
The publication of a biography of Tina Modotti (1896–1942) by an Italian historian is being marked a small exhibition, in a bookstore, of 30 b/w photos taken by the Italian Kahlo - as Tina is often referred to - and depicting the political and social milieu of her time. Perhaps best known as the lover, model, and apprentice of American photographer Edward Weston, Tina was an actress, photographer and revolutionary with a deep commitment to communism, a woman who lived her life amid glamour, scandals and turmoil. Today’s the last day of exhibition, so those who want to visit it should not hesitate. The event is taking place at Libreria Feltrinelli. Entrance is free.
