Verdi’s Rigoletto at Teatro alla Scala

Being Italy’s cultural centre, Milan offers a good choice of events to visit. For example, today The Scala Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Chailly, premier interpreter of the works of Verdi, performs Rigoletto, the first of what is known as Verdi's "popular trilogy". The performance takes place at the first Opera House in the old continent - Teatro alla Scala with excellent acoustics and design restored thanks to Milan citizens after bombing during the Second World War. The performances will last until February 10.
