Series of classical concerts by Pomeriggi Musicali concert start in December

On Thursday, December 1 and Saturday 3 2005 the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali conducted by Gabriele Cassone, trumpet will be performing music by Haendel, Vivaldi, Haydn, Verdi, Ponchielli and Arban at the Pomeriggi Musicali - a permanent orchestra and a foundation, created in Milan soon after World War II. The first concert of the Pomeriggi Musicali was held on November 27, 1945 when they played together Mozart and Stravinsky, Beethoven and Prokofjev. Nowadays their repertoire is really wide - from Baroque to 20th-century music. This season there will be 20 concerts played by the orchestra - all on Thursday at 9pm and Saturday at 5pm.
